I don’t know who is aware the work Appcelerator is doing, but I’ve heard their developers talk about their work on podcasts and played around with this. This is a great product. There is a lot of talk about consolidation of work into languages and technologies already deeply understood. Appcelerator is making it happen.
As someone who is getting down to it and actually learning C/Obj-C to start iPhone development I can tell you it is not fun. If you’ve ever wondered why there are so many crappy iPhone apps its because Obj-C is not forgiving. Giving Titanium the complex tasks and letting you use your mind on more experience related decisions is a blessing. Good lookin’ out.
